  1. Thread the floss under the wire, then guide it between your teeth
  2. Gently move the floss up and down, removing plaque and food particles
  3. Repeat for each tooth, using a fresh section of floss each time.
  4. Flossing daily can help maintain oral hygiene when wearing braces.
    Use the spongy floss to clean under the braces.
  • To floss start by breaking off about 45cm of floss
  • Wrap the ends around your middle fingers, leaving a a few centimeters of floss in between
  • Hold the floss tightly between your thumbs and index fingers
  • Gently slide the floss between your teeth, moving it up and down against each tooth
  • Curve the floss around each tooth in a C shape to clean the sides
  • Use a fresh section of floss for each tooth and discard after use

Dental tape is similar to dental floss but differs in its texture. Dental tape is wider compared to traditional floss, which is round and thin. The choice between dental tape and floss depends on personal preference and the spacing between your teeth. Both dental tape and floss effectively remove plaque and debris when used correctly.
